Dan is a massive follower of football who is down for watching anything, from Sunday League mud-fests to Champions League finals. If a ball is being kicked Dan will watch. However, one club, in particular, has stolen his heart. Unfortunately, that club is Bolton Wanderers, who he wrote about for lionofviennasuite.com, for over three years.
Lion of Vienna Suite is a two-time Football Blogging Awards finalist and the biggest and best Bolton Wanderers fan site on the internet, which brings a daily stream of differing opinions, match analysis, news, satire and every now and then world exclusive breaking stories.
Dan joined LoVS in March 2014 and rose to the rank of Deputy Editor shortly after joining. The site went from strength-to-strength after Dan’s promotion, with an over 100% growth in hits in 2015 compared to 2014, an expanding team of extremely talented and diverse writers, which gave the site a great deal of personality and varied in insightful content.
Dan’s personal duties included providing his own range of content for the site (which varied from the written word to poems to actual songs), editing and scheduling articles from the team, making editorial decisions and appearing on and editing the weekly Lion of Vienna Suite Podcast.
Dan took a step back from his editorial position in late 2017, after writing over 400 articles, to focus on his studies, but he remains involved with the site.
